Traveling on the Douro Historic Train is a journey back in time.
Along the banks of the River Douro, the 5 historic carriages of the Douro Historic Train cover the distance from Pinhão to Tua, on a unique journey into the past, marked by the beauty of the landscape classified by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. You can expect on-board entertainment from a traditional music and singing group from the region and a toast with a Porto Ferreira. You'll also be able to taste Régua's sweets, a tradition to be fulfilled by those who visit this region.
This program includes a cruise and a ride on the Historic Train. Embark at Régua Pier at 12 noon and travel to Pinhão with a Port wine aperitif and lunch on board. You'll arrive at the Pinhão pier at around 3pm and after a short walk to the CP (Trains of Portugal) train station, you'll set off on the Historic Train towards Tua.
After this magnificent journey, you can enjoy some free time in Tua and then get back on the "old" train to return to Régua. A trip you won't want to miss!
