The program “THE DOURO AND THE HISTORIC TRAIN” offers a true Douro experience, combining wines, landscapes and history on a fascinating journey through the region.
The adventure begins at Régua Quay and continues to Quinta Coimbra de Mattos, where you can enjoy a tasting of four wines, exploring the unique flavors of the Douro. This is followed by a visit to the São Leonardo de Galafura viewpoint, which reveals one of the most emblematic views of the valley. The traditional lunch takes place at Quinta da Laceira, offering an authentic gastronomic experience.
In the afternoon, the journey continues to Régua Station, where you will be welcomed with a glass of Port wine and the traditional Régua sweets. The highlight of the program takes place at 3.30 p.m., with the departure of the Douro Historic Train to Tua. On board the iconic steam locomotive, you will cross one of the most beautiful railway routes in Portugal, surrounded by terraced vineyards and breathtaking landscapes.
