At 10.30 am, you will receive a warm welcome at Quinta da Avessada in Favaios. The day begins with a visit to the Enoteca Gardens, accompanied by a chilled white wine from the Moscatel variety, to the sound of traditional instruments.
At 11am, explore the vineyards, taking part in the cutting of the grapes to the rhythm of traditional Douro music. Afterwards, you can enjoy a traditional Douro lunch at Quinta da Avessada, prepared in iron pots and following ancient culinary traditions. You can taste typical Portuguese starters such as "Pataniscas de Bacalhau", various sausages or wheat from Favaios. Enjoy a tasty farmer´s soup, followed by veal steak stewed in red wine accompanied by roast potatoes and boiled cabbage as the main course.
You can try regional sweets and seasonal fruit for dessert. Coffee with brandy will round off the meal.
At around 02pm you can experience the treading of the grapes to the sound of traditional music, followed by a guided tour of the Enoteca, learning about the traditional process of making Moscatel and Port wine, with a tasting of Moscatel at 3pm. The program concludes at 3pm, offering an unforgettable experience.
